The small print, kept honest

Terms and conditions.

The terms for work carried out by Rewind Bodyshop, the trading name of Rewind Motorsport Ltd, company number SC753946.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Who these terms cover

These terms apply to bodywork, paint and repair services carried out by Rewind Motorsport Ltd, trading as Rewind Bodyshop, company number SC753946, of 8D, Murraysgate Industrial Estate, Whitburn, Bathgate EH47 0LE. By booking work with us you accept them. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights as a consumer.

Estimates and quotes

An estimate prepared from photos or a description is our honest indication of cost, not a fixed price. A quote follows physical inspection and is fixed for 30 days. If stripping the vehicle reveals further damage that changes the price, we stop, tell you, and agree the revised cost with you before any further work is done. You will never be asked to pay for work you did not agree to.

Authorisation of work

We only start work you have authorised in writing, by email or by message. Anything extra is agreed the same way first.

Parts

We fit new original-equipment or matching-quality parts unless we agree otherwise with you. If you supply your own parts we will tell you before fitting if they are not suitable, and we cannot warrant parts we did not supply.

Paint and finish

Colour is matched to the manufacturer standard for your vehicle. On aged or faded paintwork we blend adjacent panels where needed to make the repair invisible, and we tell you in the quote where that applies.

Insurance and non-fault work

Where we handle a claim for you, our contract for the repair is with you, and any excess or agreed contribution remains payable by you on collection unless your insurer settles it directly.

Payment

Payment is due in full on collection unless we have agreed terms in writing. The vehicle is released on cleared payment.

Cancellation

If you booked at a distance (for example by email or phone) the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel without charge, unless you asked us to start within that period, in which case you pay for the work done up to cancellation. To cancel, email admin@rewindbodyshop.com within those 14 days; a model cancellation form is available from us on request. Once work has started on your instruction, cancellation covers materials bought and labour completed.

Storage and uncollected vehicles

We hold completed vehicles free of charge for 5 working days after we tell you the work is done. After that a fair daily storage charge may apply, and we will always warn you before it starts.

Our liability and your rights

We carry out every repair with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires, and we put right at no cost any defect in our workmanship. We are responsible for your vehicle while it is in our care and hold insurance for that. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Complaints

If something is not right, tell us at admin@rewindbodyshop.com and we will deal with it directly and quickly. You can also use the review platforms or the Citizens Advice consumer service if you feel we have not resolved it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts (the Sheriff Court or the Court of Session) have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your home nation, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part where you live.
